Why this matters
Public Reason exists to change the way Americans engage their government and each other around politics. The goal is to lower the rancor, anger, and discomfort by educating empowering, and showing the tried-and-true path to success in advocacy.

The fastest way to form an honest opinion is by getting information from the source and examining it for yourself before absorbing anyone’s take. We show you exactly where information came from, so you can use your judgment about what’s real, fake, good, bad, right, or wrong.
We believe every American is capable of understanding their government, determining what is best for them, and influencing it. That’s why we want you to think for yourself.
03 The Promise
When two people are looking at the same source, they can disagree about what it means, but not about what it says. That foundation allows productive debate. Debate that can change things.
People who get the most done in government understand how the system actually functions, build support across lines, and find common ground. This is teachable and repeatable and Public Reason will show you how.
04 What this means for you
Every edition gives you information without the emotion. Information doesn't make political disagreement personal. Emotion does. When disagreement is about what a policy does, not who someone is, debate gets to be functional instead of personal.
